Flexible Learning

Learning your way

What is flexible learning? It is an educational approach that increases student opportunities for exploration (acquire, inquire), engagement (communicate, collaborate), and expression (practice, create). Flexible learning is highly customizable and provides greater accessibility and affordances

Why use flexible learning? Educators tend to teach differently from one another, dependent upon knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Similarly, students tend to have their own learning tendencies and preferences as well. Flexible learning attempts to provide choice and optimize the educational experience for everyone.

Added Value of Flexible Learning and the E3 Model

As higher education moves to more robust, progressive models of teaching and learning, flexible learning is well-positioned to provide faculty and students with a modern pedagogical framework (E3) that provides engaging digital experiences to accommodate a variety of educational needs and affordances.
